Wheeling IL Residents - Secure Your Right to Vote for Village Manager

Residents never had the opportunity to vote on a Village Manager. With enough signatures, this position will be put on the ballot during the next election. 

PETITION TO ABANDON THE MANAGERIAL FORM OF MANAGERIAL FORM OF MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT

We, the undersigned electors of the Village of Wheeling, entitled to vote for Village President in the Village of Wheeling, do hereby demand and election on the issue of whether to retain the managerial form for the following reasons:  The elimination of the position of Village Manager would generate cost saving of over $200,000 for salary, vehicle allowance, and health insurance benefits associated with the position and would promote greater accountability in the Village President and Trustees, who are elected to oversee the operations of the Village.
