Petition for the resignation of Mayor Jasiel Correia II

We the undersigned, hereby demand Mayor Jasiel F. Correia II to resign as Mayor of the City of Fall River, Massachusetts. The alleged criminal investigation against him has Correia unable to do his job in our opinion. Public funds via his Mayoral salary are going towards legal fees, and he has formed a legal defense fund to help with those fees. This alleged criminal investigation is nothing but a major distraction for our city, and it tarnishes the city's reputation. This could all end easily with the Mayors resignation. His unwillingness to be transparent and honest about this makes matters worse. Our city deserves better.
