We demand stricter accountability for Do Not Call violations!

Like most people today, I am registered with the National Do Not Call List...and like most people today, I still receive numerous calls each week from telemarketers, both live and robotic.

Per the Federal Trade Commission, consumers may report unwanted calls at donotcall.gov - but why should the consumer bear the burden of reporting each and every violation? Plus, as the FTC states, the violater MAY be penalized...IF even found. Sadly, it's very easy to fake a number, making it difficult for the FTC to ever locate the violator.

The FTC recently released a report stating that nearly 2.7 million consumers reported violations in 2017. This is unacceptable. Unsolicited phone calls are a form of harassment to which no one should be subjected.

We, the undersigned, demand stricter enforcement of penalties to those who are found guilty of violations in order to act as a deterrent to others. We also implore the FTC to explore alternative means of tracking down perpetrators.
