Lucasfilm. Have the editors of A New Hope Re-Edit The Prequels

2027 will mark the 50th Anniversary of The Release of Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope (or just Star Wars, if you will). I've come up with the perfect way to celebrate....

The Prequel Trilogy (The Phantom Menace, Attack of The Clones & Revenge of The Sith respectivly) have often had a negative reputation in the almost 3 Decades since they were released. (Though they're gaining a Re-Appraisal in the recent years)

What People have brought up over the years quite a lot is that The First Cut of A New Hope had a lot of the same problems The Prequels would later have. Thankfully it didn't come to that & well here we are today almost half a century later. A lot of the praise goes to The film's editors: Paul Hirsch, Richard Chew & Especially George Lucas' First Wife, Marcia Lucas.

I've wondered about this in my head for a few years. Would The Prequels have been improved if Marcia, Richard & Paul came back to edit them? That's The 6000 Credit Question...

I belive for Star Wars' 50th Birthday. Lucasfilm should get Paul, Richard & Marcia into the studio to Re-Edit The Prequel Trilogy however they see fit. Then Release their cuts of The Trilogy to the public for them to them to see and judge for themselves.

Disclaimer: These Re-Edits would NOT replace the versions we have. Those would still be seen and still be the canon version of The Prequels. This is just to show a different way these films could have been made. George Lucas is a brilliant storyteller & The Bullying he & The Cast got after The Prequels came out was not fair. But George has often worked best with multiple points of view helping him. Marcia herself put it best.
"I definitely had a lot to do with making it work, but I wasn't the writer and I wasn't the director, and I didn't come up with the creative names, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker. All those names are classics. George came up with all of it using his amazing imagination."
