Tell EPA to Take Action on BPA
Bisphenol-A, more commonly known as BPA, is a toxic chemical found in everything from baby bottles to paper receipts. Recent studies show that BPA can interfere with the body's hormone system, potentially leading to a variety of health problems, including damage to the reproductive system and brain, especially in children.
Eleven states have banned the chemical's use in children's products, and Canada, China, and the European Union have adopted similar restrictions. However U.S. federal regulatory agencies have done little to protect the public.
Act now to tell the Environmental Protection Agency to conduct further testing on BPA and to update its database of information about health risks from chemicals to include new data on BPA.
We the undersigned urge you to conduct further testing on Bisphenol-A (BPA).
Recent studies show that BPA can interfere with the body's hormone system, potentially leading to a variety of health problems, including damage to the reproductive system and brain, especially in children.
Eleven states have already banned the chemical's use in children's products. We call on you to protect the public by updating your database of information about health risks from chemicals to include new data on BPA.
We thank you for your attention to this important matter.
