THE GREAT BARRIER REEF IS ON THE EDGE OF EXTINCTION

The Great Barrier Reef is dying, the Coral is starving to death due to the rising ocean tempreatures, increased levels of acid in the ocean.

It is home to more than 1,500 species of fish, 411 types of hard coral, one-third of the world’s soft corals, 134 species of sharks and rays, six of the world’s seven species of threatened marine turtles, and more than 30 species of marine mammals. 

Coral bleaching is one of the biggest threats to the reef. It is estimted that 60% of the world's coral reefs will be lost by 2030. 8,000 of reef formation can still be saved with your help. To help the reef is to protect it from climate change and to stop burning fossil fuels.

So what are we doing to help? Most people don't even know that the reef is in danger. Nobody is doing anything to change the policies, laws etc. There is a few changes but there needs to be harsher consequences for the ones who do pollute the ocean. The animals depend and live within the Pacific Ocean, ask yourself this, if the Reef dies, where do they go?
