The unravelled bus times have been made with no thought or consideration to those traveling to Heathrow early morning to start work or catch a flight. Commuters living in surrounding areas will have to get to Slough Bus Station to catch a bus to Heathrow.
Commuters from Britwell can not get to work on time as the new service 1 now starts later & by the time it reaches Slough, we miss the connecting bus to Heathrow. Therefore waiting for the next bus at Slough Bus Station & we arrive at Heathrow T5 at 05:51am. Commuters are now late getting into T5 but workers who need to get to other areas of the airport will have to wait at T5 for yet another connecting bus resulting in further more delays.
Commuters from Cippenham & Maidenhead have no early bus service to Slough Bus Station & are made to make their own way there resulting in more cars on the road, thus more pollution. There are cases where individuals have had to call private cabs just to get into Slough.
The solution is to introduce earlier buses to route 1 as well as offering services to other surrounding areas. We need service 7 to run around Hatton Cross & Terminal 4 during peak times which will be more justified. Currently this service is only offered during the night which makes no sense, further more who will be using this service between 23:30 & 04:30? Seems like First Group have got fuel to burn or some may say that's money just up in smoke.
