Bring US Bel Ami

WE WANT BEL AMI HERE IN THE U.S. AND NORTH AMERICA! We want to let the Sony Pictures know that the Robert Pattinson fans REALLY want to see Bel Ami in the theaters here in the U.S./Canada and we'll come out in droves to support Rob Pattinson!
 
Bel Ami is a period piece based on the novel by Guy de Maupassant. It stars our beloved Robert Pattinson along side the amazing actresses Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman, and Kristen Scott Thomas.

The movie was filmed in the early months of 2010, but for nearly two years, there was virtually nothing (and we mean NOTHING) official that could be found about the film. There were a few release dates tossed around, but nothing that ever turned out to be true. The film finally had its official premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February.
 
While many countries have received release dates and some are already showing the film, the US has almost completely been left in the dark and we're not sure why. Sony Pictures (who, from the best of our knowledge holds the distribution rights to the film) has nothing about the movie listed on their site. At one point, Fandango AND Moviefone AND IMDB had the movie listed as being released in the US on March 2nd, 2012. Well that date came and went and the movie was nowhere to be seen in the U.S and Canada.  And no confirmed date has been mentioned at all by Sony Pictures.
 
Some fans have begun to attempt to contact Sony with almost no success. There has been a reported case of one fan getting an email back with a "no" for March 2nd and a "yes" for either July or September.  
 
All we are looking for is an official release date for the film for fans here in the U.S and Canada.
 
This petition is to let Sony Pictures know that Rob Pattinson fans proudly support Rob in everything that he does (big and small) because not only does he bring so many of us all kinds of happiness, we believe in him and what he does. We'll be there to support him in what will hopefully be a long and successful career. Bel Ami is certainly no exception and we just want to experience the film the way the rest of the world is getting to right now!

Please Sony Pictures can we have an official release date for Bel Ami in the United States/Canada? We promise when the film does get release we will fill those movie theater seats to support Robert Pattinson.
