"A bobcat was found dead, hanging from a goal post in a high school football field. The culprits are suspected to be students from a rival school, who up until now played innocent, good-natured pranks ahead of an annual football match between the two schools. Previous tricks included turning off the sound system during a band performance or placing a toilet in the middle of the field during the week of the game, but this year the prank was carried too far.
So far, though the administration of both schools have condemned the prank, those responsible have not yet been found. If located, the students will likely face charges of animal abuse, hunting during the off-season, and mischief, along with any punishments the school may choose to hand down, such as suspension or expulsion.
Before the perpetrators of this brutal crime are punished, they must be found by school and local authorities. To ensure this type of “prank” does not occur again, it is important that the students who committed it are properly penalized.
