Decrease our state sales tax in South Dakota.

Lately I hear increasing talk and news about decreasing taxes and costs for corporate America. At the same time I hear news about cutting services for the poor, the disabled and the elderly. Everything from family planning to Meals on Wheels, to Social Security.

I believe it is time we cut taxes for everyone. I would like for us to eliminate the sales tax on all purchases under $50 in the state of South Dakota. This would not eliminate all sales taxes, but it would be a tax cut for everyone and would the poor progresively as their income decreased. If corporate america needs a break, certainly, the rest of us do as well.
