A horrifying
video has surfaced of a teen girl being forced into the splits while begging "please stop, please stop". As it turns out, the coach overseeing the stretching used this method that is closer to assault and coaching with many young girls.
Sign the petition to demand the coach and administrators who allowed this to happen are fired and appropriately charged with assault.
I grew up dancing and then became a yoga teacher. I am very familiar with appropriate and safe stretching techniques as well as appropriate coaching tactics.
I can confidently say that this is assault.
The coach had been reported and girls quit the squad but nothing had changed, until the girl who filmed this sent it to a local tv station. We have to join in the public outrage to demand that this man and whoever ignored the reports don't have access to children anymore.
Not only will many of these girls have permanent physical injuries, they may face psychological and emotional trauma from being forced into unsafe situations against their will.
