As a concerned citizen and tax payer, I have been driving on rts. 612 and rt. 708 for almost 40 years. I have never seen any improvements to these roads other than an occasional patch, and the tar and gravel application. This does absolutely nothing for the quality of the road. I believe this is a tremendous waist of tax dollars . These roads where originally paved when people where still driving model T's. Now days we drive every thing from "smart cars" to 18 wheelers . It's becoming very unsafe and dangerous . We all have friends and family who have to drive these roads and we would like to see them reach their destinations safely. On another point these are historical and scenic by ways that should be preserved for future generations . PLEASE FIX THIS ROAD !!! Not even to mention the wear and tear on our vehicals and the several times that I have been run off the road by trucks that are too big for the old road. We have seen many other roads repaved all around the countys and the state that did not even seem to need it. It is way past due... PLEASE FIX THIS ROAD !!!
