Because in an already strained economy high gas prices are only making it worse. They are tire of spending more on gas than a month of food or more than the car payment for the car their putting the gas in. They want to support our movement. Please read the PETITION portion on the above tab to know what action and start date before you sign.

A website called Real Woman Central has started a gas challenge.
What kind of a challenge ?
Well to describe it in basic terms that it has been said that most of these gas stations get a large amount of their profit from convenience items. You know those convenient items you put off buying like morning coffee or cigarettes this items can! Be purchased somewhere else but we hold off until our morning trip and purchase it from them. Well what Real Woman Central is saying is that instead of giving them more money than we need to we only get gas from them and, NOTHING ELSE. We are asking that on Memorial day 2012 (May 28th) that everyone take action with us and continue until something changes. I know that this may be difficult and inconvenient but isn't paying more for gas in a month than you would for your monthly utilitie even more inconvenient. PLEASE DON'T SIGN THE PETITION IF YOU WON'T FOLLOW THROUGH AND MAKE PURCHASE ANYWAY!!!! (if so this is not a battle you should enter.) We need to make a statement here saying we will not give them any of our excess income at all.
