Stop the high rise apartment epidemic
Murray city (land land use developers) would like to change the zoning area of approximately 4670 south 900 east (formerly KMART) from a C-D (commercial Development) zoning area to a M-U (Mixed Use) zoning area.
What this means is this area would go from commercial zoning to a mixed use. Mixed use zoning allows for the horizontal and vertical combination of land uses in a given area.
We propose that instead of more apartments, that our community desperately needs a park in our area and that this empty lot and building would better serve our community as a park.
There will be a planning Commission meeting on Thursday, July 18th st 6:30 pm in the Murray City Council Chambers, located at 5025 S. State Street.
