Sex offender released, admits he'll reoffend

Micheal Lewis Mcgill 50 from Des Moines Iowa was released from prision today and tranfered to a work release facility after only spending 11 months behind bars for grabbing a 21 year old man at a local mall. During his time locked up he wrote letters admitting to molesting two 7 yr old boys in a public bathroom and that he had sex with a young man in a downtown retail store. Theres more but I won't add. He openly admits to a judge that he will reoffend if given chance and begged him to keep him locked up for life, yet Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller is not planning any efforts to prevent his release. They said this monster was examined by a psychologist and he does not meet the criteria as a sexually violent predator and Mr miller is okay with that. Iowa law requires the state to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a sex offender suffers from a mentel abnormality to commmit more sex crimes unless confined to a secure facility. What more reasonable doubt do they need? He admits to molesting 2 children and admits to reoffending. His sentence requires him to be under correctional supervision for 10 yrs after prision which starts today. But that makes no sense to me. Why send him to a work release facility. Why not keep him locked up right where he belongs. The facility is located too close for comfort. There's schools, bus stops.  Please help and sign this petition to let Tom Miller know that the publics safety should be top priority and this child molester and any other child molester should be behind bars and not any where near our children.
