Revoke Trump's Offshore Drilling Executive Order

Last Friday, Donald Trump issued an executive order that would roll back President Obama's efforts and would allow for offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and off the east coast of the United States. Offshore drilling is a very unsafe practice for both the marine life that we intrude on and for the sensitive coastlines all around our country. It is time for the capitalistic nature of oil executives to take a backseat and instead take on an environmentally focused initiative. Our environment is constantly being abused by our daily practices and we need to put an end to our harsh treatment before it becomes too late. A possible reoccurrence of the BP Oil Spill seven years ago would be detrimental to our nation and to all the life living in the ocean.
By signing this petition, we are taking a stance on this issue and telling the Trump administration that it's time for us to find alternative solutions rather than oil and that we must leave offshore oil in the ground and out of our waters.
