Reject Trump's nomination of a lawless, racist extremist to a lifetime judgeship

After unprecedented Republican Senate obstruction during the presidency of Barack Obama left a record number of judgeships vacant, Trump and his Congressional enablers are trying to force the confirmation of right wing judges as quickly as possible. The list of Trump appointments consists of unqualified racists, religious extremists, and corporate cronies.

And yet, even on this list of should-be outcasts, federal district court nominee Thomas Farr stands out for his truly shameful history, and we demand the Senate reject his lifetime appointment.

Farr has built his career on denying rights on the basis of race. As an aide to notoriously bigoted Senator Jesse Helms, Farr was involved in illegal voter intimidation and suppression of African Americans — a fact he lied about before Congress. Later, he tried to change the laws to keep people of color away from the voting booth.

Farr belongs in front of a judge's bench, not on one. Add your name to demand the U.S. Senate reject Trump's nomination of this bigot and keep his vile, white supremacist ideology off our courts.
