The following rises were proposed at full Council:

All District Councillors 8%
Leader of the Council 50%
Deputy leader of the Council 50%
Governance and Audit Chairman 13%
Licensing Chairman 84%
Transformation Chairman - new £3,683
Finance Sub-committee Chairman 23%
Audit & Gov - Vice Chairman 13%
Licensing - Vice Chairman 105%
Leaders of the Opposition 0%
Representative on the Police panel - new £1,228

The rises have been back dated to May 2018

An increase of this kind is not acceptable given the state of the county financial problems, council workers in EN council have only had 1% pay rise.
East Northants is in a deficit, there have been cuts to local services and job losses and redundancies due in 2020

While we respect the work they do this is simply not acceptable and unfair on council tax payers
