Let Kettleman Keep its Kettles!

Local Portland, Oregon bagel maker Kettleman Bagels was recently bought out by national corporate entitiy Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, which owns the Einstein Bros. and Noah's Bagels chains. They plan to close all Kettleman locations and transform them into franchises of their other brands, in the process ceasing to use Kettleman's traditional method of boiling bagels rather than baking them - one of the only places in Portland that makes them in this manner. This would be a serious blow to authentic Jewish culture and quality of life in Portland, and leave a hole (heh) in its culinary landscape in general. Let's convince Einstein and Noah to keep at least two Kettleman locations, one on the Eastside and one on the Westside, as they are, and keep boiling bagels. It's shmear lunacy not to!
