Justice for Luna: Urge Authorities to Investigate Her Death and Protect Other Cats

Background:
Luna was a beloved rescued cat, adopted with the hope and trust that she would live out her days in safety and care. Tragically, Luna died under highly suspicious circumstances shortly after her adoption. Evidence suggests that Luna’s case is not isolated. At least 22 other cats adopted by the same individuals have experienced similarly unexplained illnesses, suffering, or deaths.

 
What We Know:
Luna was rescued by a reputable animal welfare group and placed into a loving home.
Within a short time, she developed severe health issues that led to her untimely death.
Reports from veterinarians, eyewitnesses, and rescue volunteers point to neglect, inadequate medical care, and potential cruelty.
Multiple cats adopted by the same individuals have shown a disturbing pattern of suspicious injuries and fatalities.
Despite repeated concerns, no transparent or thorough investigation has been made public.
The adopters remain unaccountable, and other animals may still be in danger.
 
Why This Matters:
Animal welfare laws exist to protect vulnerable beings from harm, neglect, and abuse. The apparent failure to investigate Luna’s death—and the related deaths of other rescued cats—not only undermines public trust in the adoption system but also leaves many more animals at risk. It is both a moral and legal imperative to hold those responsible accountable and to enforce stronger safeguards going forward.

 
We Demand:
A full, transparent, and independent investigation into Luna’s death and the other affected cases.
Immediate suspension of adoption privileges for the individuals involved, pending investigation results.
Full cooperation from all parties, including adopters, veterinarians, rescue groups, and authorities.
Stronger post-adoption monitoring and follow-up protocols for the welfare of rescued animals.
Public disclosure of investigation findings to ensure accountability.
Legal action against anyone found responsible for cruelty, neglect, or wrongdoing.
Protection for whistleblowers and witnesses who come forward with relevant information.
