Make Internment of Individuals Based on Their Heritage and/or Religion Illegal Under Federal Law

Executive Order 9066 (internment of Japanese-Americans) was never overturned in court. This means that it's still perfectly okay for another executive order just like it to be signed into effect at a moment's notice in the United States. However, interning individuals based merely on their heritage and/or religion is a violation of one's basic human rights, as it serves no purpose other than to terrorize minority communities in America by turning dangerous rhetoric into actual policy.
We must make internment of individuals based on their heritage and/or religion illegal under federal law, as it is the only way we can ensure that there is never another mass internment of innocent people driven by hatred and xenophobia. Executive orders can't overstep laws passed by congress, therefore getting congress to pass this law will offer the best solution to this issue. To begin the process, we must call on our state representatives to initiate the bill.
