One twin ruled a citizen but the other was not. Allow both to remain in the US!

A gay couple in LA are being discriminated against with the uneven citizenship awards for their twin sons. The male couple used a Canadian surrogate and their sons were born in Canada. One father is American and the other is Israeli. In a strange turn of events, the court has granted one twin citizenship and not the other.

This is a shocking example of how gay couples are discriminated against in immigration cases. Sign on to ask that both boys are allowed American citizenship.

The couple is married and the boys are twins, the couple used eggs from the same donor and each boy is genetically parented by each father. A straight couple would have no problem in this instance of getting citizenship for both boys, even taking into account surrogacy. So why are they getting so weird about this gay couple?

Certainly the discussion brings up some interesting ideas about genetics, surrogacy and adoption in regards to citizenship debates. But in the end, straight couples doing the same thing would absolutely be treated differently.

These boys are 16 month old twins and they both deserve to be US citizens. Sign on to make it happen.
