Identity safe

This petition will hold corporate and government companies accountable for taking every precaution to prevent identity theft. This petition will force companies to requiroh state issued identification and social security cards to open new accounts. 
 Right now anyone is able to open a utility, cable/Internet, and wireless phone service online and over the phone just by giving a name and a social security number. this leaves nobody's  information safe and these companies should be held accountable for not verifying to the fullest extent the identity of the person applying for services. These companies make millions of dollars at the expense of people who are having theit identity stolen.
