We all know homework sounds great to get work done but what people don't know is that many highschool students have jobs and practice for a sport. That takes up too much time and to have to come home at 8-9 when all you want to do is sleep, and have to do homework is stressful. Now the goal is that anyone who doesn't finish class work takes that for homework, but then that pushes students to get their work done in class. (And I think we all know teachers have enough to grade.) Speaking as a highschool student, I have basketball practice and a part time job. For me to come home at 8 every night just wanting to sleep, then having to do homework. Its stressful. People might say "Yea well you don't even have that much homework." Some people want to spend time with their family, go outside, play sports or have a job and even though it may not seem like a problem, it's causing many students to be paranoid and stressed.
