Dear Sir,
Everyday my email account is bombarded with junk mail and despite my best efforts at unsubscribing as the emails arrive it just keeps coming. As a rule I say no to email marketing on everything but that doesn't appear to make any difference.
What I'd like to see is a change in the law whereby the senders of junk mail reveal which company provided my email address so I can go back to that company to
A) Check if I agreed that the company could sell on my email address
B) Stop the further selling of my email address at the source
I feel there are so many companies out there that are not adhering to the rules, so my petition is to get to the truth and to real the source of junk mail which is the company that sold on my email address whether I ticked a box 'yes' or 'no' and for such companies to provide the supporting evidence on request.
I will happily create a name and shame list of all those companies that deliberately ignore what I as a consumer put on a form.
