Stop Destruction of Linley Valley Pathway

Citizens should be aware that the city is considering the construction of a roadway on the existing walkway from Rutherford Road to Linley Valley Drive.

The close proximity of construction of this road would lead to increased traffic using Nelson Road past Randerson Ridge School and add to an already congested situation, this should be a safety concern to parents, students and teachers.

In addition this pathway and associated wetlands were protected under strict guidelines set by the city in accordance with the policy to maintain such green areas in the Linley Valley for use and enjoyment by all citizens of Nanaimo.
