Electoral Honesty

It is the intention of this petition to enforce only the highest standards of honesty among American politicians, political agencies, and news reporting organizations. Electoral fraud is already a crime, however, current laws are insufficient to curb political deception. Politicians of both wings regularly misrepresent the truth in order to defame their opponents, and improve their own advocacy. Websites such as Politifact and Fact Check can only do so much.

Laws against electoral fraud should be made to hold politicians, and their advocates accountable for all untruths made to influence voters. The actions of misinformed voters hurts everyone. By signing this petition you are sending a message to Washington that you can see right through them, and will not be deceived. We the American People will accept nothing less than absolute honesty!
