We want Maree Statham to continue as Mayor of Lithgow
We the community of the Lithgow Region want it known that we wish for Maree Statham to continue to be our Mayor.
Lithgow is a beautiful destination and we need it to grow and become the vibrant town that it can be. We want to welcome new residents and tourists to this area, we need Lithgow put on the map. Maree Statham and her team are the only ones who have the ability, enthusiasm, class and vision to see a need, find a solution and get things done.
This petition is not a popularity contest and is not about trying to reach a certain number of signatures in less than a week. It is about sharing and showing our support for Maree.
Lithgow City Council, please consider these signatures and the comments left when making your decision on Monday 8th September, 2014.
Dear Councillors for Lithgow City Council,
Imagine if 152 people were able to attend the council meeting tonight to show their support for Mayor Maree Statham.
That's how many showed their support on a little petition that was up for less than a week and promoted in one post only and on one facebook page. No imagine if it had been widely promoted for the past month.
This is just a small way we have been able to show our support for Maree Statham in her role as Mayor and we hope she continues in that role for some time.
