The Rowan Salisbury School Board of Education has proposed that Faith Elementary close in June 2019. Their proposal is to send all Faith Elementary students to Koontz Elementary. In order to do so, they plan to transfer approximately 250 Koontz students to other area schools.
Parents from a top performing school do not want to send their children to a school that is failing. Likewise, it is unfair to require a low performing school to dismiss half of their student body to make room for outside students.
This petition is to the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education, Dr. Moody and all administrative positions. This petition is to inform you that we, parents and community members are asking you to leave Faith Elementary School open. If you close Faith School, we as parents/guardians will remove our children from the Rowan-Salisbury School System.
