Let's see - It seems that of the 36,000 members of the American Psychiatric Association, none of those who practice in Florida happened to catch the so-called "Position statement" dated December 2015 that includes the following:

"The APA supports the following positions and principles regarding
involuntary outpatient commitment:

5. Involuntary outpatient commitment should be available to assist patients
who, as a result of their mental illness, are unlikely to seek or voluntarily
adhere to needed treatment."

Our daughter has been Baker Acted a number of times and has been put in jail also, but NO PSYCHIATRIST will treat her with medications. The entire family is suffering and we live in fear of the bad things that will happen to us, or to her.
