ALLOT GOVERNMENT FUNDS TO THE ERADICATION OF LIONFISH!

    Why?
Gret lane snapper have gone extinct in the Gulf of Mexico. That great grouper sandwhich you love might be next. Introduced in 1985, the United States Government paid little attention to the species untill it was to late. While many grassroots organiztions highlighted the potetioal effects of a sustrianed lionfish population, countries such as the US, Mexico, Panama, Columbia, and others had much difficulty finding money and resources to collectivly combat the species. This lead to a susataied population footing for the species, which eats everything and anything it can get its mouth on.

Often thought to be a pest, one that was unable to be eliminated but able to be controlled, the lionfish has proved us wrong. With their massive popualtion spike in 2025, lionfish populations have grown exponentioally over the last 7 years. So much gorwth, that they have very rapidly thrown the balance of predator vs prey off to the point of elimination of other species (grey lane snapper). The hottest three summers on record have allowed the lionfish populations to reproduce at rates much higher than normal. This shows to climate change can greatly effect the life around us. If the government of the United States would allot more money towards our invasive species, we could better combat this potentially fatal (to our environment) flaw.
