Call on the DOJ to sue Florida over DeSantis’ draconian anti-abortion law!

On April 14th, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed one of the nation's most restrictive anti-abortion bills into law, banning abortion healthcare after 15 weeks of pregnancy — long before most people even know they are pregnant — with no exceptions for rape or incest.

Florida was once a safe haven for people all across the South for seeking abortion care, but no longer. Coming in the wake of the atrocious "Don't Say Gay" anti-LGBTQ bill, it's clear that the far-right extremism in Florida is only going to get worse unless the federal government sends a clear message that this is beyond the pale.

DeSantis' abortion bill flies in the face of Roe v. Wade, which has been the established law of the land for decades. Republicans cannot be allowed to simply rewrite constitutional rights based on their own radical ideologies whenever they feel like it.
