Recall Ambassador Peter Hoekstra

Peter Hoekstra, Trump's ambassador to the Netherlands, has repeatedly made false claims that the “Islamic movement” has brought "chaos" to the Netherlands. In 2015 Hoekstra claimed that “there are cars being burned. There are politicians that are being burned....And yes, there are no-go zones in the Netherlands.” This week (10 January 2018), the Dutch media gave Ambassador Hoekstra the opportunity to provide evidence to back up his allegations or to correct the record and retract his false claims. Unsurprisingly, Ambassador Hoekstra was unable to provide ANY evidence to back up his claims and he STILL refused to say that his conspiracy theories were untrue.

This has become an embarrassment to the USA and constitutes a deliberate provocation of our Dutch allies. Please sign if you agree that the U.S. Senate should halt all confirmations of President Trump's ambassadors until Ambassador Hoekstra publicly recants his conspiracy theories or is brought home.
