stop Christmas being commercialised

Christmas spirt seems to be lacking this year........ why?? Well I think it has something to do with it starting so early in the year. The first time I heard a Christmas song in a supermarket was the end of September!!!!! Is it really needed that early by the time it comes round to December lots of people are fed up with hearing, seeing and having Christmas rammed down there throats by the money grabbing shops. It seems that we have all forgotten what it's really all about.
Now I'm not some religious nut who wants to preach about god but what I would like to see is a stop put to Christmas starting before December. If the shops could be banned from promoting the Christmas products just maybe it would become a special time of year again. Oh and is there really a need for shops to be open on boxing day!!!!!
