Urgent Appeal to End the Mass Killing of Stray Dogs in Tunisia

I am writing to urgently bring your attention to a deeply disturbing situation currently taking place in Tunisia: the systematic and cruel killing of stray dogs by local authorities.

These barbaric methods do nothing to solve the problem of stray dog overpopulation. They only perpetuate violence and insecurity, while seriously harming human dignity and the respect for animal life. Ethical and effective alternatives do exist and are already being used in other countries: sterilization, vaccination, education, and the establishment of shelters.
