Don't Pass the So-Called Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act!

The "Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act" is cruelly anti-woman, and a blatantly obvious attempt to restrict abortion rights. It establishes penalties for health providers who do not act to "preserve the life and health of the child." The interpretation of that phrase could be very broad, and puts health care providers in dire peril since they could face up to five years in prison, and if they are found to have "intentionally" killed or attempted to kill a child, they could be found guilty of murder.

This bill is the camel's nose in the tent. It must NOT be allowed to pass the Senate. Were it made law, thousands upon thousands of people could suffer horribly and even die if they suffer miscarriages because health care providers will be afraid to treat them lest the providers wind up facing prison time. Also, if this bill succeeds, it will encourage more forced-birth Republicans to write and pass more laws that will further restrict reproductive freedom.

When this bill come to the Senate, vote NO!
