Santee is a growing community that would benefit from a specialized store such as Trader Joes. East County only has access to one small store with very limited parking in La Mesa. Trader Joes buys direct from suppliers whenever possible, bargains hard to get the best price, and then pass the savings on to customers.If an item doesn’t pull its weight in a store, it goes away for something else. Most grocers charge their suppliers fees for putting an item on the shelf. This results in higher prices... so they don’t do it.
