Protect our safety in Loxahatchee

I live in the town of Loxahatchee Groves, for any who are familiar it’s one and a half lane dirt roads and with canals running across one side of the road. The roads are poorly maintained and recently gave way, causing my vehicle to partially slide in. Thankfully my children weren’t in the vehicle and I made it out safely with police efforts. I’ve brought up the issue to the city council and code enforcement but unfortunately any changes to the roads and safety have to be voted on.
I am urging that the roads be made more secure down Folsom, G, F, etc. and that guard rails be put up surrounding the canals, to stop any vehicle from rolling off the embankment into the canal and to prevent future injury or loss of life. Had my 3 small children been in the vehicle with me, there is no guarantee that I, personally, could have gotten all of them out without casualties.
