Trump's EPA — under the leadership of acting head, Andrew Wheeler — has hit its lowest, most cynical level in its radical agenda to destroy protections against pollution.
EPA has proposed a plan to sabotage and ultimately destroy our Mercury and Air Toxics Standards. These are protections that keep a dangerous poison from harming our babies' brains. This is a terrifying development because of what it means for our health. It's also terrifying because it shows that Trump's EPA will stop at nothing to protect polluter profits.
Please let EPA know that this is an outrage — EPA must not weaken the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards.

Dear Acting Administrator Wheeler,
I am writing today as a parent deeply concerned by your proposal to weaken America's Mercury and Air Toxics standards. These protections keep a terrible poison from harming our babies' brains. It is unacceptable to gamble with our children's health for the benefit of industry polluters.
These standards are already in place and working, preventing life-threatening toxins from seeping into our communities and harming our children. Do not undermine these critical public health standards.
Our children deserve better. You should not undermine the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards intact, which keeps our children safe from harmful mercury pollution.
