Don't let multiple sclerosis slow kids down - support pediatric MS research now

Multiple sclerosis occurs most commonly in adults, but an estimated 8,000 - 10,000 children are living with the disease. The need to better understand pediatric MS is critical. We must pioneer more pediatric MS research now!

The recent $2.5 million commitment by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to further the work of the Network of Pediatric MS Centers is a great start, but we must do more!

MS is a difficult disease to diagnose because many symptoms are similar to other diseases and disorders - and it's even more challenging with children. In addition, most pediatricians still don't consider MS because it's not frequently diagnosed in children. But the effects of pediatric MS can be especially challenging, both physically and mentally - affecting academic performance, family and peer relationships and even self-esteem.

Let's stand together in support of more research to advance our understanding of this disease in our children. Support pediatric MS research now!
