Ask G20 to suspend Debt to fight coronavirus

As the world continues to battle coronavirus, the pandemic is wreaking havoc on the economies of the poorest countries and could push millions of people into hunger and poverty.

Governments desperately need money to fund emergency plans but are faced with the impossible choice of saving lives or making debt repayments. We can do something about it.

Add your voice to our petition urging G20 representatives, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) to suspend all debt repayments for the world's poorest countries.

The world's poorest countries need every resource they have to tackle the economic impacts of coronavirus and prevent millions of people from falling into extreme poverty. We call on all official, private and multilateral creditors to immediately suspend debt repayments for 2020 and 2021 for the most vulnerable countries
