Latinos are a community that wants to make a difference. We want to leave this Earth and our community cleaner and healthier than how we found it. There are a lot of powerful interests that we're going up against, including the fossil fuel industry. But we have the heart, the power, and the determination to fight for our families' health and to protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the places we call home.

Our community has been successfully organizing for years: from Cesar Chavez' and the farmworkers' historic movement for workers rights and health in the 1960s, to voter registration drives of the past several decades, and immigrant youth mobilizing for the DREAM Act. Latino neighborhoods from Chicago to Los Angeles, New York to Denver, Miami to Phoenix, and elsewhere have been standing up for a clean and safe environment for their families for years.

At the League of Conservation Voters and LCV Education Fund, we’ve been inspired by the great organizing that Latinos are doing around the country to protect community health and the environment. Take a stand for the environment and ensure that Latino communities' voices and leadership are stronger than ever.
