Genetically Modified Food Labeling laws

The European Union recently voted to require manufacture's to label products who use more than 0.5% of GMO's. I would like the United States to require the same labelling laws. The federal goverment and the biotech industries have assured me that GMO product is safe. That is not the issue. The issue is about choice. People should be given the choice and choices are based on information. Consistent labeling laws would help trade and be more cost efficent.
