Speak Up for Afghanistan's Children

Over 12 million children in Afghanistan need humanitarian aid to survive.

They're sleeping in tents, drinking water from streams, missing school and working to help their families get by.

As a bitter winter approaches, these kids are desperate for food, medical care and shelter – support our government has the power to provide.

No child deserves to suffer. Tell Congress: Send lifesaving relief to Afghanistan NOW.

Dear [Elected Official]

At the start of 2025, over 12 million children in Afghanistan needed humanitarian aid to survive. That number has only risen due to the devastating impact of two catastrophic earthquakes and the U.S. government's decision to cut ALL assistance to Afghanistan.

Now, an entire generation of Afghan kids is growing up without access to lifesaving services and support as a bitter winter approaches – essentials like food, safe water, shelter and medical care.

The U.S. swore to protect these kids. But instead, we've abandoned them.

Terminating U.S.-funded humanitarian aid punishes the wrong people: innocent babies, children and mothers. Resuming critical maternal, newborn, food and nutrition programs would save lives and alleviate immense suffering.

As your constituent and an advocate for kids, I urge you to demand the immediate restoration of U.S. humanitarian aid in Afghanistan – and urge the State Department to develop a new strategy that ensures women and children receive the lifesaving care they need.

We can't let kids and families die needlessly. Please, support lifesaving assistance for children in Afghanistan.
