Stop Encouraging Prejudice!
On the Nickelodeon TV channel, one of the cartoons, Jimmy Neutron, had an episode in which one of the characters suggested burning a suspected witch. This is unacceptable to the 750,000 or more Pagans living in this country! We want the Viacom Corporation and the President of Nickelodeon to be aware of their responsibility not to further this sort of prejudice.
The United States has built it's whole society on the assumption of freedom of religion being a right. This basic freedom was ignored during the witch hunts of Europe and The United States which are now regarded as a blot on our world's history which can never be removed. It cannot be allowed to happen again!
Therefore, it's wholly inappropriate and unacceptable to have our children exposed to these same prejudices today, especially in an arena meant specifically for them, such as Nickelodeon.
We're asking that you act responsibly and ensure that this sort of prejudice is not encouraged or suggested by your any of your affiliates. signersigner
