Don't Let Vital Rural Hospitals Shut Down!
Rural hospitals provide essential health care services to nearly 54 million people, including 9 million Medicare beneficiaries, but new cuts to Medicare could force many of them to close their doors.
Many small, rural hospitals are barely keeping their doors open as it is, and cuts to Medicare, which many of their patients rely on for health care coverage, could be the straw that broke the camel's back. Rural Americans deserve the best health care they can get, and they shouldn't be forced to bear the burden of the country's debt issues.
