Patch that pavement pothole!

Our pavements should be safe for all. And yet too many of them are not fit for walking.

One in three older adults say they're prevented from walking in their local streets because of potholes and cracked pavements. And 60% say they're worried about falling because of poorly maintained pavements.

A fear of falling should not stop older people leaving their home to get exercise or to simply visit their local shop or doctor's surgery.

Pedestrians fight back - are poorly maintained pavements a problem for you?

Highway Authorities aren't spending enough money on maintaining pavements. Roads continue to get priority, while pedestrians run the gauntlet of neglected cracked, uneven pavements.
