Yemen has one of the world's highest maternal mortality rates. Seven Yemeni women die every day of complications from pregnancy or childbirth - and nearly all of the deaths are preventable. In Senegal, pregnant and lactating women do not have proper nutrition and often give birth to underweight, malnourished children.
