With the adoption of the full Clean Cars Standard in model year 2027, our state will see reduced particulate matter pollution from tailpipes and resulting ground-level ozone. With improved air quality, we will see less emergency room visits and hospitalizations for asthma, as well as reduced premature deaths and fewer missed days of work. Cumulatively, these improved health scenarios could save Coloradans as much as $2.9 billion by 2050.
But that's only if the Colorado decision makers do the right thing and adopt the boldest Clean Cars Standard rule possible.
