Help American Indian Students Obtain Higher Education

Leon Fowler used to work the graveyard shift at a low-paying job. But this young Menominee man dreamed of something bigger – to follow his father's footsteps and preserve his tribe's heritage as a steward of the earth.

This is why the American Indian College Fund provides approximately 6,000 scholarships annually for tribal college students. Thanks to one of these scholarships, Leon is learning how to manage forests better by taking care of water resources, animals and fish.

Without a scholarship, Leon wouldn't be able to stay in college. In fact, American Indians attend college at less than half the rate of the general population.

A college education remains unaffordable to most American Indian people. But you can stand with us and make a difference. Please sign our pledge and help Native college students break the cycle of poverty.

Pledge:
- I believe that American Indians should have the same opportunity to attend college as other students.
- I value preserving the cultural heritage of the American Indian tribes.
- I stand with American Indian College Fund in their efforts to provide a brighter future for American Indian students.
